Meet the gardeners and their garden
Paula and Steve’s 3-acre property is well-known to the children and walking groups of Inverloch. Steve has created the much-loved Bookhouse and Fairy Garden, a community space that is open to the public from the walking paths at the back of their property. During the last 20 or so years, Steve has undertaken extensive planting of native plants to encourage native birds and other wildlife, while Paula has the main responsibility for the extensive productive garden including the vegetable garden and netted orchard. Paula and Steve grow at least 90% of the veggies and fruit that they consume by planting throughout the year, eating seasonally and storing a variety of foods in different ways.
