VOLUNTEERS

We are seeking volunteers to help over the weekend of 19-20 February 2022.
Volunteers will welcome visitors at the front gate of each garden.  They will check and sell entry tickets, ensure COVIDSafe requirements are met, direct visitors to parking and answer general questions.  Training materials will be provided in advance of the weekend so that volunteers have a good understanding of their tasks.
Volunteers do not have to be gardening experts.  Their role is to handle some of the other administrative tasks so that gardeners are free to share their gardening knowledge with visitors.
Volunteers are asked to commit to a 3-hour shift (from either 10am to 1pm, or 1pm to 4pm, on either Saturday or Sunday).
In return for volunteering for a 3-hour shift, all volunteers will receive a free ticket to explore the open food gardens on the other day.
The participating food gardens are located all across Bass Coast shire.  Where possible, we will match you with a garden near you.  Volunteers will need their own transport to travel to the open garden where they are working.
If you would like to volunteer at the gardens, please contact Leslie on 0491 217 584.
